Not only focusing on honing their production skills and research capabilities, Zuliz actively embraces cutting-edge technologies. Through collaborations with Suzhou University to establish a collaborative innovation center for multifunctional nano-material elderly footwear and apparel applications, and partnering with Xi’an University of Electronic Science and Technology to co-build an intelligent wearable joint laboratory, Zuliz aims to meet the footwear needs of the elderly while enhancing their quality of life.

Continuously exploring sustainability through demand-driven innovation, Zuliz concentrates on addressing the practical pain points of the elderly when it comes to footwear. Through in-depth research on the foot characteristics of the elderly and collaboration with renowned experts in shoe last development, Zuliz aims to provide a more comfortable wearing experience for the elderly with every pair of shoes.

All product planning is rooted in user needs, and Zuliz Elderly Footwear places “comfortable experience” at the forefront, embodying a product design philosophy centered around people. Their keen understanding of user needs and the adaptability and resilience displayed on the business front are key factors enabling them to lead the elderly footwear market continuously.

By closely observing the changing needs of elderly consumers, Zuliz Elderly Footwear has developed functional shoes with features such as slip resistance, durability, and shock absorption to address elderly mobility safety concerns. They have ingeniously integrated mugwort and fiber innovation to introduce the “Mugwort Series” of elderly footwear, striving for a dual breakthrough in product functionality and comfort to provide solid support for the daily walking needs of the elderly.

Taking steps forward in their business model, Zuliz actively explores new possibilities. They expand diversified sales channels by following market trends through a combination of online and offline strategies. Introducing the “Offline Live Streaming Rooms + Store Cloud Retail” model, they offer consumers a wide range of quality choices. The addition of a “Free Shoe Cleaning” service vividly embodies their corporate mission of “enabling every elderly person to enjoy a healthy and happy life.”

From 0 to 7+1, from flourishing to stable foundation, Zuliz Elderly Footwear has undergone a 21-year entrepreneurial journey. Despite unfavorable circumstances, Mr. Sang decisively opened the first Zuliz store. He stated, “Even in difficult times, it did not shake my confidence in opening the store, nor did it affect the love that the elderly have for Zuliz.” During a challenging period of offline sales, Mr. Sang paved a path of success in Shouguang. When asked about his “secret recipe” for success, he shared the following four points:

  1. Strategic Location: Mr. Sang, with prior experience in leather goods business, recognized the critical impact of store location on business success. Before opening Zuliz stores, he conducted detailed location surveys to understand foot traffic patterns at different times and in various areas. He strategically positioned each store in shopping malls and bustling street corners, aiming for high conversion and profitability through high traffic and visibility.
  2. Exceptional Service for Ultimate Experience: Mr. Sang prioritizes service excellence, providing one-on-one product knowledge and service standard training for every employee before they start work. Store managers and staff are required to have a comprehensive understanding of product features and advantages, be able to address customer inquiries clearly, and offer professional advice. By treating each customer like family, especially the elderly, and showing genuine care and empathy, they provide attentive and personalized service.
  3. Effective Marketing Integration: Mr. Sang personally handled the promotion of seven stores and developed a successful marketing model. This model was effectively applied to the opening of the Jiayuejia street store in October 23, integrating online and offline promotion to quickly raise local awareness. Utilizing offline leaflet distribution in high-traffic areas and collaborating with influential local internet celebrities for online promotions, they targeted the desired demographic of middle-aged and elderly customers, achieving significant promotional impact.

The attention to detail in service is exemplified by actions like assisting elderly customers into and out of the store, regardless of purchase, and even helping elderly individuals cross the street at street-side stores.
