Zuliz recently attended the fourth meeting of the second council of the China Elderly Industry Association in Beijing as scheduled. Leaders of the association and representatives from the council were present at the meeting. As a member of the association, Zuliz participated in the voting ceremony for the selection of the vice-chairman, contributing to the warm and productive atmosphere of the meeting. It was a successful and fulfilling event for all involved.
The progress of the association’s work in 2023 has been smooth, and in 2024, they will continue to strive for progress while maintaining stability.
During the meeting, the Executive Chairman of the China Elderly Industry Association, Wu Shimin, delivered a work report titled “Uniting Consensus, Striving for Progress, and Creating a New Situation in the Development of China’s Elderly Industry.” The report emphasized the implementation of strategies to address the aging population, develop the silver economy, and accelerate the construction of a new development pattern for the elderly industry. The association’s work direction is clear, and various tasks are progressing smoothly.
In 2024, the association will focus on progress while ensuring stability, emphasizing 18 key tasks such as research and development in the elderly industry, promoting standardization in the elderly industry, and strengthening brand building in the elderly industry.
In 2023, the association organized member units to submit applications for the 2023 Elderly Products Promotion Catalog. Six member units had 16 products selected, including Zuliz’s wool shoes and mom shoes. It is noteworthy that Zuliz has been selected for the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s “Elderly Products Promotion Catalog” for two consecutive years.
Seizing the opportunities of the aging population, the Zuliz brand is advancing with great momentum.
As China’s population transitions into an aging society, data from the National Bureau of Statistics shows that in February 2023, the elderly population aged 60 and above reached 280 million, accounting for 19.8% of the total population. China has entered a phase of profound aging, with one out of every five Chinese being an elderly person. With the increasing number of elderly individuals, the silver economy is undoubtedly becoming a pillar of the national economy.
Zuliz, as a leading brand in the elderly shoe industry, has seized the opportunity of the rise of the silver economy. They have conducted in-depth research on the changes in elderly foot shapes to address the issue of elderly footwear. As of now, Zuliz has over 3,200 specialty stores nationwide, covering various provinces, cities, and counties. Their online presence spans across all e-commerce platforms. Zuliz was listed in the “China’s Top 500 Most Valuable Brands” by the World Brand Lab for the years 2022-2023, being the only brand in the elderly industry to make it onto the list.
Zuliz is at the forefront of industry development and actively takes on social responsibilities.
In 2020, Zuliz joined the China Elderly Industry Association as a member unit. In 2021, the founder of Zuliz’s elderly shoes, Zhang Jingkang, became a director for the second council of the association, serving a five-year term.
Zuliz, as a representative in the elderly shoe industry, actively engages in the systematic construction of enterprise standards. They have participated in the drafting of the national standard for “Elderly Shoes,” being the first drafting unit in the country. Over the course of its 9-year brand history, Zuliz has led and participated in the drafting of 23 standards, setting an advanced example and guiding the overall development of the elderly shoe industry.
Furthermore, as a leading enterprise in the elderly industry, Zuliz has been actively fulfilling its social responsibilities since its establishment. They uphold the brand philosophy of “Caring for the Elderly, Warming the Sunset Years.” On May 25, 2023, the Zuliz Love for the Elderly Fund was established to support the elderly population, providing respect, care, and love to more elderly individuals.
In 2024, facing the profound social reforms brought about by the aging population, the elderly industry is encountering new challenges. It is crucial to seize the new opportunities of the times, innovate, strive for progress, and work together to create a new chapter in the development of the Chinese elderly industry.
